MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS TRADEMUTT STYLE

The AWU Victoria has been a long term advocate for mental health awareness, the support continues as a new relationship with TradeMutt begins in 2020.

TradeMutt is an Australian workwear company founded by two tradies, inspired by the need for more awareness on mental health in the workplace. They have unique designs that are bright and stand out from the crowd, deliberately designed this way to be a natural conversation starter about mental health and to make it a more visible socially acceptable topic.

We all struggle at some point in our lives and we have also had people we know going through tough times. The key is working out how we can openly discuss and approach mental health, whatever it may be, sharing the load with someone else can make a difference. Immediate support from Beyond Blue and Lifeline are invaluable, and they have fantastic resources to assist even the most unfamiliar person on mental health.

TradeMutt and the AWU have joined forces to start a conversation that all members can get on board with. The importance of these shirts and the impact it has on the mental health space in Australia has been nothing but positive.
