What you need to know


Metropolitan Melbourne has moved to Stage 4 ‘Stay at Home’ restrictions to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Victoria. Under these restrictions, businesses in Melbourne can only operate for on-site operations if they are a Permitted Work Premises.

Permitted Work Premises in the Construction sector are available at the DHHS.


A COVIDSafe Plan must be implemented to continue operation in metropolitan Melbourne or if your business is an abattoir or meat processing facility.


Regional Victoria has moved to Stage 3 ‘Stay at Home’ restrictions to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and a COVIDSafe Plan is advised for all regional Victorian workplaces.

On 1:59 am on Saturday 8 August the following changes were implemented by all Melbourne construction sites.
