Two year dispute ends in a win

The AWU are celebrating a massive win after a two year dispute with GroundHog on the Westgate Tunnel Project. GroundHog have agreed to back pay AWU members a total of $1.63 million.

The patience of our members and organisers has paid off, literally. If you are an AWU member and worked on the Westgate Tunnel Project on the 7-3 7-4 roster you may be entitled to backpay.

Further to this we are in the process of securing a tunnelling agreement with the project that will give better protection to the workforce and will be the highest payed tunnellers in the country.
